Our Vision
Revamp is reaching out to people within our city with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe that everyone has the power to change through the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. Revamp is determined to help people fulfill their destiny in the new life God has called them into. This means "that anyone who is in Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun." 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NLT)
Our Story
After serving the Lord for over 30 years, Pastor Eddy Walters answered the call on his life to begin his own ministry. On May 19, 2013, he and his family had their first service in their home. Unexpectedly knowing where the Lord would be taking them on this journey, he continued to trust in the Lord. Pastor Eddie and his family went from being in their living room to their garage to a small building in Weslaco, Tx in just a few months after more people started attending. Pastor Eddie had begun to disciple men that believed in the vision and evangelize the city to share the Gospel with others. By 2014, Pastor Eddie felt the Lord speak to him and tell him to move to Mercedes, Tx. With faith and boldness, the Lord blessed the church with a small corner front store to which later was expanded. In a matter of a year, a door had opened to move into the current building Revamp is in today.
Pastor Eddie and Cindy believe that everyone has the power to change by accepting Jesus Christ into their hearts and through the examples taught in the Word of God. They desire to help people succeed through discipling and guiding them into the calling the Lord has placed on their lives. Though the journey has not been easy, they know that the Lord has graciously been with them every step of the way.
